The Cardiological Society of India was formed on January 1948, which was an year earlier than the American College of Cardiology. This Society belongs to other overseas cardiology organizations and includes international members in both the scientific and medical professions connected with heart disease or research. Joining is just a matter of completing the application form and providing documentation of qualification’s, including the sponsorship.
Instructions :
* Visit the The Cardiological Society of India’s webpage (http://www.csi.org.in/) where you can download a copy of the membership application.
* Fill in the following information:
Appointments at medical or related institutions including percentage of work in cardiology,
Details of publications and other research work,
Evidence of university degrees,
Lists of training courses in cardiology,
Memberships in other societies.
* Get letters of sponsorship from 2 individuals. The membership form doesn’t list a sponsor’s qualifications, but presumptively current members of the Society would be favoured. The sponsors must also have to sign the application form.
* Purchase a Demand Draft (DD) or International Money Order payable as specified in the application in the amount of 3,000 INR for an ordinary membership or 7,000 INR for a life membership.
* Mail 4 copies of the form and all materials, including the dues, to: Hon. General Secretary, Cardiological Society of India, Indian Heart House, P-60, C.I.T. Road, Scheme VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata – 700 054, India.
